The technology-driven of eGeeTouch® product development group is an extended arm of DIGIPAS TECHNOLOGIES INC. R&D team consisting multinational, interdisciplinary and highly specialized professionals focusing on the development of core capabilities within niched domain expertise of intelligent proximity access security and precision instrument technologies. We invest significantly in R&D to innovate global-leading smart devices and intelligent instruments in contributing to the advancement of the access security industry focusing on consumer, civil aviation (e.g. air travel), logistics and transport, automotive, medical, and building-automation industries.


Patents are obvious manifestations of our R&D team’s novel ideas and capabilities resulting from relentless and sustained research activities for the past decade. In 2010, we filed a PTC patent on a novel electronic combination lock covering jurisdictions of over 100 countries worldwide, published in 2012 and granted by the US patent and trademark office (USPTO) - US Pat No.: 9,121,199 B2. Numerous patents were later filed and granted - US Pat No.: 9,524,600 B2, US Pat No.: 9,495,820 B1 etc - to further strengthen our intellectual property portfolio enhancing our pioneering/dominant position in the field of smart locking devices, particularly padlocks and combination locks.


Conventional mechanical combination lock is well known for its cumbersome to use, specifically due to its small digit-wheel dials and tiny engraved-digit sizes, restricted choice of combination codes (e.g. 999 codes) and particularly risky of being cracked in seconds. The world's-first and award-winning eGeeTouch® smart lock is strategically innovated to replace existing combination-digit-dial and keyed padlocks and seek to transform these outdated locks into radically new modern locks relevant to increasing mobile worldwide travellers of changing lifestyle. eGeeTouch® smart lock utilizes proprietary state-of-art proximity intelligent access security and smart identification technologies. Advanced near-field communication (NFC) microchips set and optional biometric fingerprint authentication sensors are deployed to facilitate radically ease-of-use functional and primary access-security features. In fact, the high security level of NFC technology is well testified by its wide applications as cash payments in major banks and retailer's point-of-sales. The enhanced security performance is delivered through company's proprietary intelligent encrypted access software algorithms and protocols. Bluetooth is also optionally embedded to enable vicinity tracking and secondary access method to accomodate those users who prioritise convenience over high security

Fingerprint biometric data is another convenient means to personal access security. However, in many COMMERCIAL, PUBLIC and GOVERNMENT ENTITIES applications involving large scale users base, to ensure all users fingertips to have a CLEAN and PERFECT fingerprint patterns/images all the time during every access is an UN-REALISTIC expectation. Unlike fingers of office workers, fingertips of workers in the fields (e.g. construction sites) are expected to be DIRTY, SCRACTH, WHRINKLE (due to wet gloves/water) and in many cases fail to be recognized by fingerprint sensor causing consistent FALSE Rejection of authorization for access. Thus, it is unrealiable to use. Furthermore, fingerprint patterns are unable to change because it is encoded in a person biology. Once fingerprint information is LOST, LEAK or STOLEN, it cannot be retrieved and thus open to PERMANENT ABUSE. In contrast, a person can always rethink another Bluetooth password or NFC code to change, but he/she usually cannot alter their fingerprint patterns. Thus, individuals who lost fingerprints data are likely to be affected for the rest of their lives.

eGeeTouch® smart locks embedded with NFC and secured Bluetooth require; no key to misplace, no tiny digit-wheel to dial, and no combination code to memorize, thus no fuss for its owner in safeguarding their personal belongings. These ease-of-use functional and enhanced security features are critical differentiating factors that provide hassle-free user experience & peace of mind which the conventional lock is unable to offer. Further, NFC-driven proximity access method offers (1) FAST access (near instant), (2) SAFE access (no risk of vicinity interception or hijacking Over-The-Air (OTA) transmissions) and (3) MULTIPLE access methods (no-battery passive tags/fobs/cards or using user's own NFC-enabled smartdevices), as compared to other wireless access methods such as Bluetooth-driven locks. An independent mechanical backup/bypass unlocking mechanism accessible by using a conventional key is further provided in the rare event that all electronic fail to function as well as in compliance with the U.S. Transport Security Administration (TSA) requirements for the custom security officers to gain access without damaging the luggage.

eGeeTouch® smart padlock's patented functional features track WHO, WHEN & WHERE an access was made providing an audit trail (audit log - a security-relevant chronological record) containing documentary evidence of the sequence of access history which is a highly useful new feature unmatched by any conventional mechanical padlock. Further, since there is no key hole, eGeeTouch smart padlock is not susceptible to key picking or bumping experienced on conventional keyed padlock.

Furthermore, Rugged body and weatherproof features (ie. waterproof, operate in -20°C to 60°C, Rust resistent) are specifically designed to use in ALL WEATHERS environment, thus suitable to use for COMMERCIAL, PUBLIC and GOVERNMENT entities. The web-base Intteligent Access Management Software and Commercial version of app are specifically developed to support such large-scale applications (large number of locks and users) allowing Administrator(s) to ASSIGN, REVOKE/DENY, & TRACK users on accessing those smartlocks from a REMOTE locations.

Leading-edge Smartlock Design conforming to Civil Aviation Regulatory Standards

In line with International Air Transport Association (IATA) directives towards a secure and efficient baggage handling system in worldwide airports, eGeeTouch® smart luggage lock is optionally embedded with intelligent electronic RFID tag to replace the use of traditional leather based luggage tag which could expose owner personal information on a written card. This advanced microchip tag conceals owner's personal details such as name, telephone number and address, enhances access security which only allows airport authorized personnel to precisely identify a luggage thus prevent luggage mishandling in airports and speed up reclaim in the event of lost.

Our design team relentlessly works to ensure the smart electronics locks comply to FCC, CE, TSA, RoHS etc. There is no emission from smartlock in the aircraft baggage/cabin compartments, as it automatically powers OFF itself within 10 seconds each time whenever it is turned ON. Intelligent firmware protocol and safety mechanical design of button prevent unintentional turning on itself when luggage is in contact/collision with nearby luggage/objects in compartment during transportation. The batteries used for eGeeTouch smart travel locks are in compliance with IATA an also the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) directives for safety and security.
